Welcome, my babes, and happy (almost) Full Moon in Libra. The moon entered Libra yesterday afternoon but will be in its Full Moon glory, tomorrow, at 6:15am CT. The first Full Moon in Libra met us at the beginning of Aries season (March 20), and a beautiful rarity, will also meet us at the end of Aries season (April 19).
What does this mean? We have the opportunity to work with two completely different types of energies — one being, the sun in Aries and the other, the moon in Libra. Aries rules the 1st house, the house of self. Libra rules the 7th house, the house of partnerships. Here we have a “me vs. us” battle. We have a very strong and masculine planet energy (Mars) and a very powerful and feminine planet energy (Venus) working with us; the epitome of Yin and Yang. There is a balancing battle the needs and wants to happen but in order to nip it — we need to dig deep into the undeveloped parts of both signs.
Libra when underdeveloped (note: all signs have ebb and flows of vibrating on a low scale — we are all constantly growing) can be indecisive, passive aggressive, and superficial. Aries when underdeveloped can be impulsive, aggressive, and selfish.
In the last months Full Moon we focused on ourselves (entering in Aries season), our souls purpose, and what we were made to do on this planet. We were also told to look at how we viewed forgiveness towards ourselves. This Full Moon in Libra wants us to take what we’ve learned about ourselves and apply it to our relationships — whether that be romantic, business partners, friendships, your family, and so on.
What does your relationships with these people look like? Are you able to be in full expression with them, or do you hide away parts of yourself? What relationships drain your energy? Which ones light a fire in your soul and have you feeling grounded? Are the ones you surround yourself with allow you to thrive and live your highest self?
Jupiter went retrograde on April 10th, this Full Moon is a perfect opportunity to not only ask the questions I listed above but to also express gratitude for the relationships you hold near and dear in your life. Jupiter is the planet of abundance, expansion, and luck. Jupiter Retrograde also wants us to ask ourselves — “what energies are we attracting to our life” and / or “what relationships do I keep calling in?” Look at the patterns in your life and see where you can grow, heal, and expand. Now is the time to release and let go.
Tarot Card: JUSTICE
This card represents justice, accountability for ones actions, fairness, the truth, and karma. This card reminds us that we are being called to hold ourselves accountable, that we have an important choice to make, and will be judged by our actions.
STONE: ROSE QUARTZ
Rose Quartz is the universal love stone. It encourages and restores trust and harmony in relationships — pushing us to love unconditionally. This stone opens our hearts to friendships, relationships, self-love, and inner peace. This stone also promotes self-forgiveness.
ESSENTIAL OIL: GERANIUM / FRANKINCENSE
Geranium was used as a beautifying (Venus is the ruler of Libra) agent in Ancient Egyptian times. This wonderful smelling essential oil is very versatile; used for skin and / or hair, perfume potions, emotional support, and can be very grounding.
Frankincense the king of all essential oils. This holy grail oil can be used to rejuvenate your skin, promote cellular health and immunity, extremely grounding, and overall — relaxing.
Here we have a masculine and feminine mix.
COLOR - BLUE
This color symbolizes balance and harmony in all parts of our life.
1: Make your space you, and most importantly — unplug. Tonight you will really want to represent Air and Fire (for Libra in the Full Moon and for the sun in Aries) — spritz some frankincense and geranium into the air (or diffuse) and around your Full Moon area for air and light some yummy candles to represent fire. I love to use crystals to represent earth — try and use crystals that represent both Aries and Libra (Libra: Lapis, Aventurine, Girasol Opal, or Rose Quartz; Aries: Desert Jasper, Howlite, Quartz, Carnelian) and place a metal bowl for water (or even spice things up with a vase filled with flowers).
2: Talk about the cosmic energy and how it is affecting all of us. Share sun and moon signs, and share where the full moon will be in each individual chart (or just yours if you are doing a ceremony by yourself).
3: Journal — take some time to answer some of the questions I asked or question you come up for yourself. This is one of my favorite parts ( I love journaling).
4: Set intentions — write some intentions; qualities you admire in your own or other relationships. After you write these, plug them into what you will call in for relationships you want / yearn for.
5: Release — write on a piece of paper the relationships / things that no longer serve you, breathe deep and say “I now release ________. And so it is” (let the universe take care of it), and then burn it.
Moon cycles are opportunities to harness the things we want to work on and to also release the things we may no longer need. So let go what the old, what no longer serves you so that it leaves space for you to accept new beginnings and / or opportunities. Happy Full Moon in Libra my loves.
